First established in 2011, Ithenia is a realistic equine roleplay with a few twists. Think Game of Thrones meets wild horses :) There are the noble families of the North, ruled over by the King and his Lords. With heritage and prestige dominating these lands, blood is thicker than water. But the wild Southerners do not believe in such things and instead live as they please. Viewed as barbarians by the civilized North, these horses have no ties and no honor. Tensions run high between the two countries, and it is only a matter of time before they boil over.
The lands of Ithenia have been divided for as long as its inhabitants can recall.
The North has always belonged to the royal families, and many bloodlines are proud to call it home. Their lands are some of the most beautiful and desirable to horse-kind, and these noble equines would do anything to hold on to their fortune.
The South, however, is rather different. It is mostly aquatic, and the places that aren't bogged down with moisture are hard and rocky. It is here that the rest of the horses live. Often named "rogues" or "rebels" by those from the North, these Southerners are ruled by no monarch. Instead they live alone, or else form small nomadic bands.
This class division has always caused tension, and battles and bloodshed are not uncommon. A few recently failed revolutions have left the North shaken and the South in tatters, but rumors of a full-scale war have begun circulating. With a bold young King on the Northern throne to rally the troops once more and a scattered assortment of Southern freedom fighters, it is only a matter of time before the whispers ring true.
