The King in the North

FINALLY I'M HERE. Ready to start plotting with my boy Cal!

First off, he's four years old, which is very young for an Ithenian king. His father passed somewhat recently (the details of which I'm willing to work out - I'd like it to be some sort of mission in the South that ended badly, possibly one that was top secret?), forcing a halfhearted Cal onto the throne. His relationship with his father was strained at best, and things never truly got resolved between them before his premature death which leaves Cal with some festering emotions about the whole thing. He's always had a bit of a rebellious streak, and he's become more broody recently too. Cal's very much the "tall, dark, and handsome" archetype and he knows it. Arrogance is one of his most prominent vices, though it is often overlooked because of his position (which only allows it to grow.)

Basically, Cal's got a big reputation already as a young, reckless princeling. Nasty rumors about "the Colt King" are definitely prevalent in the North and may even be trickling into the South, but many admire him too - some for his courage in the face of tragedy, others simply for his heritage and ancestry. As stated before, Cal is not exactly an eager ruler, but his excessive pride will absolutely not allow him to fail as a leader and so he'll have to do a lot of growing up in a short amount of time. I'd like some good, solid relationships to help with that!

ROMANCE: Don't ask about the position of Queen yet, please! I'll have auditions at a later date. Until then, there is no Queen because Cal has not chosen one. This doesn't mean Cal can't have lovers, however! He's very much the type to sleep around, so to speak. I'd love some quick, fun threads with him and a lady or two just for fun to develop some character!

FRIENDS/ALLIES: Obviously he needs lots of these. Any rank in the Royal Court or Royal Cavalry is an automatic in with the King - he'll be your friend, you'll see him a lot, etc. HOWEVER, that's sort of a blanket statement because I'm looking for some true-blue, ride-or-die homies too! He's close with the Lords in some way or other, and same with the Commander, but I'm thinking his closest friends would be the Nobles - maybe horses he grew up with? A partner in crime would be fabulous. Nobles could also be friends of his father's, left over from his reign! Throw your ideas at me and your horse can be a Noble, which is a pretty cool/limited rank!

ENEMIES: Any Southerners really. Troublesome as Cal may be, he is loyal to his country. There can also be Northerners whom he doesn't get along with as well! Some really big plots can come out of this so again, give me your ideas!

FAMILY: I'm in the process of working on the Aetherius family tree, but I would really like to have somebody play Cal's mother! She's got potential to be a really complex character. I picture him being closer to his mom than he was with his dad, but we can figure it out. I'll put an ad up within the next few days for that but let me know if you'd be interested! I'm also CONSIDERING giving him a sister, either older or younger. If he does have a sister, then this whole family is definitely going down the Avatar path and emulating the Fire Nation royal family, fyi. So if you're about that, let me know too, cus I kinda really am.

I probably forgot something so feel free to ask questions! Still sorta developing a lot of things with him too so maybe we can come up with an answer together :)
